My Alzheimer and Parkinsons demented mother was on the medical department for a few days and the surgery was scheduled. She did not have a bowel movement for 7 days. Jamie was the first nurse who went above and beyond to make the "bm" happen, even though it was already 4:30pm, so the end of her shift, instead of handing the problem over to the next shift she organized tests and chest-x-rays for the surgery preparation as well as Ducolax suppository which made my mom "go". Miss Deck manually helped to get the stool to come out and was compassionate and as happy as we were! Moreover, she printed out information without us even asking. She was able to accomplish a lot in just one day and still "by the book" but heartfelt, friendly and compassionate. She is also an exceptional wound care nurse and she sets a good example for other nurses!
