I phoned my dad's nurse Jamie and she was so incredibly kind to me. I am a nurse, but at this moment I was a daughter, forgetting everything I know. Jamie explained everything I knew as a nurse but it helped to hear it from her; I felt better after hanging up. About 4PM, my phone rang and my heart sank whenI saw it was Spectrum Health. I answered and it was Jamie. She said, "Hi! We spoke earlierthis morning and you sounded concerned so I wanted to let you knowthatI just did your dad's neuro checks and he is alert and oriented!"
That was so nice of her. I'm sure Jamie had a million other things to be doing, but she took the time to call me, knowing I was concerned and wasout of town. This is above and beyond anything I was expecting! Jamie embodies all a DAISY Nurse should be!
