My father was admitted to the ER at BBC and unfortunately died there. The nurse, Jamie Whelan, who took care of me and my siblings, did way more than I would have ever expected. My brother is stationed out of state with the Marine Corps., and could not leave to get home. Jamie contacted the hospital's Red Cross representative who then contacted my brother's Chain of Command to have him approved for emergency leave to come home for my dad's funeral. My father died unexpectedly and very sudden and the care and patience we received from this particular nurse was the definition of exceeding my expectations. If this is the kind of care that she exhibits to all her patients, then she is raising the bar higher than I have ever anticipated. My dad's passing was very difficult, but Jamie's excellence made it much less of a burden. I could not have asked for a better nurse for my family.
