It is with great pleasure that I nominated Jamilla for this special Award. She is a caring and compassionate person that makes you feel that You are her most important patient. She continually encourages you in such a way that you want to work harder to achieve your goals. Her motivational drive is contagious, and she just makes you feel better when you are in a very painful situation.

Jamilla is observant and brings me something to counteract my upset stomach before it gets bad. I will never forget how she recommended orange sherbet to soothe my swollen throat after C6 & 7 surgery. It really helped with swelling and swallowing. She goes beyond the call of duty as a skilled nurse to make sure you are comfortable, cared for, and listened to! I know she was always busy, but she made sure I was turned and positioned so I would not get a bedsore. I appreciated her grouping care so I would not be constantly awakened. I really trust and feel safe with her at my side. Words cannot express how grateful I am for her loving service and personality as a nurse, and she needs to be recognized for being one of the greatest assets to MVH.
