My daughter is a multi-handicapped person both physically and mentally. She was brought into the ED because of severe dehydration. She was also in renal failure. Even in the waiting room just passing by I noticed how this person smiled at her with such warmth in his eyes. How fortunate for us that he became her nurse. Jamison made her so comfortable in many ways. He talked gently yet with such joy as he explained everything he was doing. Many people with disabilities are treated as if they don't understand. Jamison treated her with such kindness, making her his top priority. He never once let her feel that he was not there for her. In every area Jamison is A+. His nursing skills are superior- first time stick to draw blood on small rolling veins to providing comfort like warm wipes and blankets. During our 6 hours, Jamison frequently offered drinks, something to eat, anything to make the experience less stressful.
