My nurse, Jan Nunez, was the one whom I saw the most. I’m so lucky to have been blessed with her to be in charge of me and my care. She was always so patient and kind, she was friendly and positive and very encouraging. It was such a scary and confusing time for me, and she did her best to make sure I was comfortable in all ways. Her reassuring presence definitely helped my healing go faster, and I always appreciated how she would explain what was happening and why, what the drugs were for, and help me make adjustments if something wasn’t working.

Even though I was only there for 2 days, I had no idea how long it would be. She was an angel, a friend, and a trusted professional whom I counted on, and I can’t say enough how invaluable she was to me. I have no doubt that others feel the same even if they don’t say it directly. Going through such a big life event is hard enough, and the nurses that are attending to those in need are lifelines to feeling better, not only for the body, but the mind and the spirit as well. Jan always has a positive attitude and is so warm towards her patients and peers, consistently going above and beyond.

She is an exceptional nurse. Compassionate and kind while taking on hard tasks for her patients. She was willing to fight for me and advocate for me to get the home health care I deserved. I had the pleasure of sharing many days with her a she proved to be so strong in her job and a great friend. I appreciate who she is as a nurse and person.
