My son was hospitalized with a serious illness, was fearful upon admission, and he feared all the testing taking place. The first day was exhausting and I was very concerned.
That's when we met Jan Schroll. She came in with her soothing voice and look of compassion which immediately put us both at ease. As the hospital stay continued, we both came to look forward to Jan's arrival.
One evening while Jan was attending to my son, he was watching "Family Feud", while she was there she would guess the answers with him. He loved it. I spent the nights in his room with him. I quickly recognized that when Jan was at the helm, all was well. When I heard her voice, I knew everything was being handled well.
I would love to give an award to all his staff because they were all amazing. Jan, however, provided a level of care I have rarely experienced in a hospital setting. Jan is one in a million.
