While I was in the cardiac unit for chest pain, Jana demonstrated tremendous compassion and caring. For example, my wife arrived while I was in the shower, and Jana immediately explained my day of tests and condition to my wife. This act was very calming and reassuring for her. Also, Jana makes personal connections with her patients, revealing her "human side". We discussed common interests in skiing which helped distract me from the tests I was thinking about. Finally, I was very touched by her care for my roommate who had recently endured open-heart surgery. She was very attentive to his physical and emotional needs.
