Janae ordered me food, helped me get fed, and did things in my timing because I was going through a lot mentally and emotionally and trying to hold myself together.
I was a first-time mom and was struggling with blood pressure issues. When I went to my doctor appointment that morning my doctor sent me right over to L/D triage, which is where I met Janae. I was nervous and worried I was going to have a baby at 35 weeks due to my health issues. Janae was so calming, helped me get started over in L/D and I ended up getting admitted and induced. Fast forward to when I gave birth, I hemorrhaged. I was prepared to not be able to hold my baby or see him for 24 hours after birth, but nothing can prepare for how mentally and emotionally taxing that was for me. Janae was my nurse right after my delivery and comforted me, let me cry it out that I couldn't see my baby till the next morning because I was on Magnesium. Janae ordered me food, helped me get fed, and did things in my timing because I was going through a lot mentally and emotionally and trying to hold myself together. I just remember looking at her and telling her I couldn't do this, and she responded, "oh yes you can." She was a familiar face, my hype girl, and someone who was nurturing and that was exactly what I needed in that situation. Without Janae, I don't think I would have had the strength to get through those first 24 hours without her encouragement, support, and caring heart. She is an amazing and dedicated nurse, and I cannot thank her enough for getting me through the hardest time with my greatest reward. Thank you, Janae, for all you do. My husband and I are so incredibly thankful for nurses like you!!
