My husband was transferred to Ja'Nay's unit at 4 am.  She introduced herself as my husband's nurse and said, ‘it looks like you could use a hug’. Now at the end of her 12 hour shift, she is offering comfort to our visitors and helping with the linens to set up my bed for the night. I cannot imagine a better experience. She is the absolute representation of the quality and compassion that every nurse should strive for.  She is back tomorrow, and I know we will have another amazing day under her care.

Our day nurse, Ja'Nay was simply a jewel. She kept us informed of all things concerning Mom. From making sure I met or talked with the doctors onsite to relating our concerns and questions directly to mom's doctors. It was as if she knew what we needed before we asked. She kept all things smooth for her care, even down to the day of her surgery. She made sure we were informed of any high levels and low numbers and explained what each was for every time she administered any meds. She made sure everyone else, including the next shift, knew what was needed. Her knowledge, contagious smile, and energy kept my mom smiling and in good spirits, all the way until we left the building. Ja'Nay was absolutely on it! Thank you, Ja'Nay, for your unwavering patience and all you have done for my mother. Mom is so happy and grateful for the nurses here, especially Ja'Nay!!

Ja’Nay provided exceptional care when our loved one transitioned to the step down unit. She went above and beyond to provide individualized care to him and keep our family updated. She made us feel so comfortable if we needed to step out and assured us that she would take great care of him while we were gone. Memorial Regional is very lucky to have her!
