Jane Hahn, RN, BSN, COS-C

Jane Hahn is the best nurse manager I've ever worked for in over 12 years of nursing. She embodies all the elements of The DAISY Award and it’s all grounded in her excellent communication skills. She is able to navigate a team of diverse professionals while making us feel heard and important when we have concerns. She understands the daily struggles of treating patients in their homes and can empathize with our frustrations, knowing when we need to vent, but also when we need help. She is humble; if she doesn't know the answer to a question she will find out, never making me feel like I shouldn't ask. Most recently while I was redeployed, she was my lifeline, even though she did not technically support my area of deployment. She is about to complete her own BSN to Advance Healing and works toward improving our outcomes. She shares our data on a regular basis and always notes the positive contributions we make, in a way that motivates.
