Jane Mattice RN, Consistently goes above and beyond for her patients while exemplifying the core mission and values of the organization. Her compassion, caring, and empathetic stewardship for an extremely vulnerable population is inspiring.
A patient of Jane's had a son who was placed on hospice at one of our hospitals. Needless to say the patient and family were beside themselves and having difficulty making decisions about care prior to deciding on hospice. Jane's met the family at the hospital to assist them in the understanding of all the medical terms and options that were available to the patient's son. The patient's son passed away in a few days. Jane was supportive to the entire family during this difficult time. The patient and family felt that Jane was an Angel sent from heaven.
