Jane has devoted the last 26 years of her life as a nurse for a variety of patients at Sanford Vermillion Medical Center. She is a leader, and has made countless contributions to make Sanford Vermillion what it is today. She is a valuable instrument in improving the human condition by demonstrating exceptional care, passion, and dedication to her Sanford family. Jane's most notable quality is her wealth of knowledge. Everyone at Sanford Vermillion has heard the phrase "I'm not sure, ask Jane" countless times. Whether it pertains to critical thinking, care procedures, or the way things were done 10 years ago, Jane is our "go to" person. She always tries to make uncomfortable procedures (IV starts, cath insertions, etc.) as quick and painless as possible which ends up being most of the time due to her expertise. She is very good about explaining procedures to patients and answering their questions. Jane demonstrates passion by her willingness to teach and train nurses. She coordinates OB education at Sanford Vermillion and is also an NRP instructor.

Jane demonstrates dedication in that she is the "go to" nurse when there is a staffing issue. It does matter what day or time of day, whether a nurse called in sick or a patient walked-in in labor, you can bet that Jane will come in when no one else can. For these reasons and many more, Jane demonstrates excellence and extraordinary compassionate care in her nursing practice.
