Jane Nwekeze, RN

During my recent hospital stay, I had the opportunity to experience firsthand the other side of the coin while being sick myself. I am a hospitalist physician and take care of a variety of patients, some of them quite sick and with complex medical issues. Since my arrival at the emergency department and while in the medical ward, I felt treated with a lot of respect and compassion by all nurses and staff. I would like to thank nurse Jane Nwekeze for the emergency department for her dedication and attention to detail, which I had seen her deliver to my patients and that I had the chance to experience myself. Jane's demeanor was very calming and comforting; she was very detailed in explaining every single procedure and medication that she would administer, and put me at ease in those moments during which I felt vulnerable. I would like to thank Jane particularly for her outstanding care, and hope she can be recognized with the DAISY Award.
