As you know, my 9-year-old daughter is under your care for a complex post-concussive syndrome. You saw my daughter right before you left for your Christmas Holiday.
While you were gone, my daughter began experiencing additional symptoms which were of concern. I called and spoke with Jane, who was extremely helpful. She listened closely to my parental concerns about my daughter, she talked with me, discussed all the options, treated me in a very respectful manner, and helped to decide on an appropriate plan of action.
After our conversation, Jane told me she would explore a few options and get back with me. She returned my call quickly. She went above and beyond the call of duty to follow your orders, speak to her supervisor about appropriate health care given your orders, schedule necessary testing (CT scan), and dealing with my insurance company. I know on that day, my daughter's health was not her only concern, but she treated her as such.
I can honestly say that Jane did an excellent job of going the extra mile to ensure my daughter's health. Clearly, you already know what a valuable asset she is as a nurse, but I wanted to make sure that I let you know how valuable she was to us.
Please let her know how much we appreciate and commend her. As a parent, I could not have asked for more concern, understanding, and respect from Jane. She definitely made all the difference in my daughter's health care and gave the best care to both my daughter and myself.
