Jane Tessler, RN
I’m nominating my teammate Jane Tessler, Hospice RN for her unrelenting commitment and compassion for our patients. She is not only a very compassionate nurse who takes care of our hospice patients with great compassion, and expertise, but she is the most giving to teammates.
Jane works 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, but then volunteers to work on our on-call service from 4:30 to the next morning, then will get up and start over again. Jane never hesitates to volunteer for these on-call shifts, which I think must be exhausting. Jane however continues to be energetic and devoted to all she encounters the next day. I am in awe of Jane Tessler! She continues to honor the commitment of comfort while supporting our patients and their family members, as they experience this end-of-life journey. Jane also is committed to her fellow teammates whom she provides her time unselfishly. Jane is lovely inside and out, and that’s why I nominate her for the DAISY Award.
