Janel Niles goes above and beyond with her patients. She truly cares and it shows. We had a 12 year old patient on our floor. The mom came to the desk to ask for linens. Janel promptly responded. While Janel stepped away, the mom told me how grateful she was for Janel during this difficult time. Her daughter had come in the hospital with a ruptured appendix. She told me that she is able to sleep/rest whenever Janel is working. As Janel walked by, she stated "she has been my rock" and placed her head on Janel's shoulder. She was almost in tears just speaking about the wonderful care Janel provided.
On another occasion, a patient's husband commented how great Janel was and stated "We wanted to bring her home with us!"
During patient rounds, Janel is frequently recognized and remembered.
