Paramedics brought my 84-year-old mom (whom I just relocated here) by ambulance. There were no beds, so she was kept in the ER hallways. Two nurses came to draw blood and they couldn't, she was poked multiple times. Mom was upset. I walked up to Janet (who wasn't her nurse) and told her my parents are new here and upset the blood draws were unsuccessful and painful. She immediately went to her charge nurse and they came up with an action plan. She came over herself and drew the blood on the first time. She was kind and gentle with my mom and dad and kept them up to date on her care. I asked if she could take over the care. She did so until my parents were discharged. She was kind, showed compassion to my elderly parents and went way beyond what was expected of her.
