This was the scariest and worst experience of my life. But Janet made me feel safe.
Janet helped transport me from OBS to CT and IR. When Janet came to help me, I was an absolute mess. I had just undergone complications from a routine procedure, was bleeding internally, in severe pain, and was very scared. There is a lot of this evening that I do not remember, but what I do remember is Janet suiting up and getting into the IR suite with me. She held my hand and stroked my hair as I spoke about my 2 daughters at home. She distracted me from my thoughts and fears and reassured me I was safe.
As I write this DAISY Nomination, there are tears of gratitude as I think back on her kindness and grace. I have no chronic health conditions and have never been on the other side of a hospital bed, so it is safe to say that this was the scariest and worst experience of my life. But Janet made me feel safe. I cannot thank her enough for her kindness and grace. I will always remember how gentle, loving, and kind she was to me.
