Janet is by far one of the strongest leaders we have at LAH. She has continued to show dedication and compassion to our unit. I have dealt with several issues and Janet is always the one person I can count on for guidance and help.
Recently, we have been extremely busy with high acuity patients. Everyday Janet works or doesn't work, she is helping. She will take patients down to a CT scan and will hang blood and help someone to the bathroom if needed. There is no limit to how much Janet will help.
The other weekend we had a very sick patient who had an Impella over the weekend on a night shift; there was no staff trained to care for this patient. After making numerous calls and being let down every time by staff who could not come in, Janet was the one who offered to come and help. Janet continually places the needs of the unit above her own needs. She is the kind of leader I want to be, strong, kind, bold, and knows everything. She is an amazing RN, educator, and leader we are so lucky to have her.
