...Janet has a refreshing "can do" attitude and her positivity is infectious. She makes the orthopedic clinic an enjoyable experience for both the residents and her fellow nurses. I have also been inspired by her inner drive to constantly better herself. Whether it's learning how to apply a cast or making sure a patient gets the care that he/she needs, even to the point of calling them at home to check on them, she sets an amazing example for all of us and inspires us to improve our own performance as well. I cannot count the number of days I've seen her stay after hours or the weekends when I've been surprised to see her working in one of the inpatient units. Janet deserves all the awards, recognitions, and financial compensation available. In fact, if I thought she would even consider moving 1400 miles away to where I will begin practice in a few months, I would absolutely do everything in my power to hire her away from you. All of us in healthcare, myself included, would do well to be a little more like Janet.
