I first met Janet in 2012, when I was hospitalized in the Fairview ER following chemotherapy. My cancer was in remission for seven years, and then, unfortunately, relapsed again this year. On Monday, I was again hospitalized in the ER following issues related to chemotherapy, and amazingly, Janet was assigned to my case. She recalled her first encounter with me from 2012, and her experience previously in oncology was brought to bear as she helped us through this latest crisis. Her clinical skills and compassion are unsurpassed. Beyond those skills, on a purely human level, seeing her was truly reassuring, and after the crisis was averted, I was later discharged after receiving superior care. I thank God for Janet. She is truly an angel.
