Janice is a team player and collaborates well with interdisciplinary groups and other departments to solve problems and improve the care of women and children throughout our organization.
Janice Campbell is an extraordinary nurse who advances the nursing practice through innovation and commitment. She is currently our Lactation Coordinator here at Mount Sinai South Nassau and exemplifies a spirit of caring, initiative, and leadership in her role. She is a highly valued member of our Nursing team, well respected by peers and staff alike.
Janice is a team player and collaborates well with interdisciplinary groups and other departments to solve problems and improve the care of women and children throughout our organization. She is a long-standing member of our Nursing Research and Evidence-based Practice Council and recently became co-chair of this important forum. She was previously a member of our Nursing Research Fellowship Program and now guides others as they develop and conduct research. Janice has also disseminated new nursing knowledge through the publication of her own research. She truly is a leader in advancing nursing practice at MSSN.

Janice clearly recognizes the value of continuous learning and professional growth and development. She is an expert in her practice and led our women and children's team in their pursuit of Baby-Friendly designation for our organization. She has promoted the support of breastfeeding mothers throughout our organization including the development of the lactation station for staff who return to work and plan to continue breastfeeding their babies. We are fortunate that she is a resource for our staff, assisting us in ensuring competency and continued development of nursing staff. She demonstrates a positive work ethic and orientation to detail and follow-through. She is tech-savvy and willingly assists others in adapting to new and innovative technology. She illustrates scholarship and collegiality on a daily basis.
