During my recent surgery and recovery there was never a time that anyone in the staff did not treat me professionally and more caring than those at Methodist Southlake. So it is something special when one person stands out and exemplifies what Methodist is trying to at this facility.

Janice was my primary nurse during my post-operation stay. She was able to carry out the medical orders, but her focus was on me at a personal level every time she entered my room. She took time to carefully listen to my needs and concerns related to my recovery. She would spend extra time with me to get to know me as a person which made my stay enjoyable. She shared the same attitude and care with my wife when she was visiting. I find this type of professionalism very refreshing in today's world where work loads and system requirements quickly over run the employee preventing them from providing exceptional care and service. Janice is a very dedicated nurse and Methodist is fortunate to have her on staff. You can tell that she is supported by all her team and Methodist.

On departing as we were waiting for my wife to bring the car up she shared that during Covid she worked as a traveling nurse because she was frustrated with corporate hospital but when she joined Methodist all that changed when she saw what Methodist is doing for their staff. I am more than pleased and proud to nominate her for recognition and feel she exemplifies the service Methodist is striving to provide to its patients.
