My mother had heart surgery so we visited many floors of the Heart & Vascular Hospital during her stay. I must say that the time we spent on the 8th floor was outstanding. The team worked together seamlessly. We had amazing nurses who were on top of things and when we complimented them, they gave the credit to their manager, Janice. Not only were the staff organized and well disciplined, but the bathroom, visitor’s tea/coffee area, bulletin boards, etc. were in the best shape possible. I never met Janice myself, but I know that a team and facility cannot function like that without an incredible manager.

I hope Janice realizes that her “DAISY” has reproduced because I could easily write a DAISY nomination for all the staff who worked with us on the 8th floor. They are all a representation of her leadership. Keep up the good work Janice! You have a fine-tuned team that set the standard very high for UNC Rex.
