God brought the angel Janice to us Sunday evening. Our daughter was in the ER for stomach pain & fever which ended up being appendicitis. Our daughter had surgery on Monday. K (our daughter) has never had surgery or been in the hospital since birth. As her mom, sadly, the only times I have been in the hospital were for the illness and passing of my mom and father-in-law. Janice gave us knowledge, comfort, reassurance, peace, understanding, and kindness every time we saw her, which was often during her shifts Sun, Mon & Tuesday overnights. She and K connected over Disney history and stories which brought comfort and normalcy in such confusion and personal discomfort (for Kara). Janice was so respectful of our space yet was so diligent in K's care. She answered her questions with patience & thoroughness.

Janice is a gifted nurse, and we hope to stay in touch with her. We know God allowed the timing of K's ailment when Janice could help us through it. We will always praise God for bringing her into our family. We love you, Janice!

PS. The nurses have all been wonderful-what an amazing team & so close to home. While we hope not to come here too often:-), we are thankful for such an amazing hospital staff so nearby home.
