Jan is a tireless advocate for patients and families living with special needs and craniofacial differences.
Janice Rockwood received The DAISY Award in recognition of her compassion and commitment to excellence in nursing. Jan, who recently celebrated 45 years with Kaleida Health, has spent the last 30 years of her career with the Craniofacial Center. She has played a large role in transforming the Center's framework to one of support, collaboration, and interdisciplinary care, helping to garner national distinction. She has evolved her position to fit the ever-changing healthcare industry and continually works to identify new ways to optimize outcomes for patients. She actively volunteers with the Center's Miles for Smiles parent support organization, assisting patients and families with funding their uninsured needs, and has co-chaired the Center's annual wine tasting fundraiser for the past 17 years, raising close to $20,000 annually. She also holds a seat on the Board of Directors of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association (ACPA).
