From the moment Janice entered our room, she instantly showed so much compassion.

I had my daughter via C-section, and Janice was my nurse that night. She went above and beyond with explaining the care she would be providing to my baby and me through the night.

The first walk to the restroom after my C-section, I totally broke down in tears, in pain. She showed me so much love and caring compassion. She helped me wipe away my tears and comforted me at 3 a.m. right next to my fiancé.

I know she had other patients, but she took that moment to stay at my bedside and make sure I was okay.

My baby girl’s temperature dropped, and she didn’t pass her car seat test that same night, and I was very distraught. Janice did her best to get her temperature back to normal and comforted me in regard to the car seat test.

Janice was my nurse three nights in a row—Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night—and I feel like she saw both me and my baby girl grow so much in those three short but long nights.

The last time I saw Janice, I thanked her so much for her care. She came around to the side of my bed and gave me the biggest hug. I’ll always remember that hug. It was sort of like a “We got through this together!” hug.

I honestly don’t think I would have made it through those nights without Janice.

We will always remember Janice. When my baby girl is older and asks about her birth, I will make sure she knows who Janice is and how much she helped us.

Janice is truly a God-send angel. Truly a wonderful nurse and a beautiful human being.

Thank you, Janice S, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
