February 2023 Honoree
Janie Kuebel, RN, BSN
We met Janie on day 2 of a 10-day stay. My mom was brought into the ER with chest pains, turned out she had a heart attack. She was admitted. The next day we found out she had 5 blockages 100%, 99%, 90%, 60%, and 30% and would need 5 bypasses. The next day, Janie came in and explained what will happen. She sat down next to us and told me the precautions and how to take care of my mom. This is emotional because my dad passed away from covid. So my mom is all we have left. Janie prayed with us and comforted us. She continually checked on us. The discharge instructions did not stick with me after a 10-day hospital stay but thanks to Janie, I know how to care for her when I got home. She was a vital part of her recovery. She cares deeply for her patients. She wanted her to not only get better but had a passion to keep her better by instilling the importance of the cardio rehab program.
Thank you, Janie, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
