Nina was our nurse on the day shift. She checked on us and communicated clearly regarding the sodium drip. She kept a close eye on the amounts and informed us of his sodium levels. She was also concerned about my husband lying on his back without turning to relieve pressure on his hip. She gently tried to persuade him to turn from side to side, but he refused. She explained the importance of this, as it could lead to a serious issue in the already red area. He remained adamant. Instead of pressing him, she ordered a special bed mattress that turns from side to side. My husband was grateful to her because he liked this mattress, which gently turned him. Nina is very kind and dependable, and she truly cares for her patients, giving them her full attention to their needs. She also helped my husband take salt pills by mashing them up in apple sauce, and she involved physical therapy since he had not been very mobile over the last couple of weeks.
