My mom had inoperable colon cancer surgery. Dr. T placed a peg tube and a stoma. So much trauma to an 87-year-old lady with an 87-year-old loving husband of 66 years at her side. Janine, from day one, took the most amazing, loving care of my entire family. One night, Janine took quick action when my Mom showed signs of a sudden stroke. Within minutes, the trauma team showed up in her room at 3:30 am. Janine showed poise, love, professionalism, and medical knowledge. Janine is our angel on earth; without her, we never would have made it through 24 difficult days at the hospital. I implore you to award Janine the DAISY Award. Please understand that we had over 100 nurses and nursing assistants in 24 days, and I, without a shadow of a doubt, can tell you Janine stands out above them all. But I wish I could give all 100 nurses this award. They were all amazing.
