My reason for nominating Janine who is a specialist sleep nurse is the way she gives outstanding care and support to her patients, families, and colleagues alike. She gives the maximum support she can on a daily basis and goes above and beyond to be there when families need it the most.
Since March when we started with COVID-19 and lockdown, our sleep nurses and sleep practitioners have been so busy supporting families in a very stressful situation helping to maintain some kind of routine and normality for the families and young children. Janine has been so supportive and has had our health and wellbeing at the top of her priority and is there any time we need her. She has little time for herself working full time but works so many hours extra to get her work done. She is an absolute star, and she makes our job so enjoyable and satisfying during a very unpredictable time that we have never known before in our lifetime.
I am not the only one in our team who feel Janine is worthy of this award. She has always pushed us to be the best we can be, now it's her turn to be rewarded and this is thoroughly deserved. Although the whole team is working from home there is never a day that goes by that I don't want to work, I love my job and am really lucky to have such an inspirational team.
