Two years ago, I was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. I received a transplant and relapsed in 2016. During my stays, I had the privilege of having Janis as my nurse on the Oncology unit. She went out of her way on multiple occasions. She ensured that I was comfortable and attended to all my needs in addition to my wants. Her personality is contagious and instrumental in the healing process. When my wife passed away suddenly, she made it a point to show me compassion and condolences.
***
Janis was always prompt when we called for assistance. She took care of all my husband's needs immediately and was very attentive to make sure he was not in pain. She was always concerned for my husband's comfort. Janis is cheerful and always did what was best for my husband, even calling the physician in the middle of the night to ensure he was not in pain. Everything she does is with a smile on her face.
