There are many stories at our hospital about the amazing care Janize Luna, RN has delivered to the patients she cares for. Below is just another example shared by one of her patients that describes why she received this DAISY award.

Janize is a compassionate nurse who was respectful of my healthcare needs and allowed me to participate in developing my plan of care. She entered my room, shock my hand and introduced herself. I explained to her why I was admitted into the hospital and my diffulties of getting better to go home. After spending time listening, she called my physician and discussed possible medications to assist me. She immediately shared this with me and discussed strategies that others have used to alleviate their issues. She gave another call to my physician and kept me abreast of what was occuring. Thanks to Janize I did get better.

After a long day, every patient should have a nurse like Janize who is compassionate and dedicated. She understands her patients needs and responds by taking immediate action. She is a phenomenal nurse who deserves to be recognized because her patients come first. This kind and understanding nurse is my "hero"!
