... My wife and I were expecting our first baby and she was overdue by a week. We were scheduled for an induction on Monday Feb 10th. Going into the hospital that morning was a mixture of excitement, relief, and feeling very nervous. Neither of us really knew what to expect until we met Janna. She was our delivery nurse and stayed in the room with us until our daughter was born seven hours later; only leaving one time for a short lunch break before the labor started.

Her level of care and compassion was exemplary. She calmed and coached us through the entire process, settling our fears and worries with comfort and encouragement; talking her through painful contractions and the administration of her epidural. When my wife was crying and emotional, as she is afraid of needles, Janna's reassurance never wavered. When she was at her weakest, Janna was strong and undaunted.

Any questions we had were answered with complete confidence and clinical experience. Janna even called and ordered food for her shortly after our daughter was born, as if providing personal care for over 7 hours was not enough. It may sound cliche but she really went the extra mile for us. We never once felt like just another patient but like personal friends Janna was caring for. She even stopped by our room the next day to see how we were doing.

Janna is truly one in a million and we couldn't imagine having anyone else by our side during the labor and the birth of our first child.
