Professor Wilson was nominated for her excellence in teaching, quality relationships with learners and collaborative relationships with faculty and students.  She serves as the coordinator for Gerontological Nursing practicum. Professor Wilson works tirelessly, and continuously to enhance the course so students have meaningful learning experiences with older adults in long-term care facilities.  She collaborated with at least 20 organizations to assure the students meet and exceed course outcomes.  Simulation activities for the practicum are high-quality, evidence based, and have a large impact on student learning.  Her passion of caring for the older adult population shines in her practice of education.
