Jared Clodfelter, BSN, RN

Jared radiates positivity, always leads with his heart, and is always a patient advocate and responsive to all of the patients on his unit, even when they are not assigned to him. I can think of two examples when JC exceeded expectations, first, when a patient was very agitated and could not be comforted with medical intervention. He offered comfort by giving the patient a manicure and holding her hands. This was an example of holistic nursing. JC was able to see the patient as a whole and he was able to nurse her heart and soul.

A second time that he showed exemplary care was when a patient with a trauma needed to discharge that day. The patient needed a physical therapy evaluation; however physical therapy was unavailable. He had a very busy team, but he managed to spend hours with this patient, ensuring they were safe to discharge and mobilize. He did this with a smile on his face and such a positive attitude.

Jared is the epitome of what nursing should be, I am honored to work with him.
