Our father was admitted. His condition deteriorated rapidly, and he was transferred from the 5th floor to 6 North ICU during the night. Although we feel like our dad received excellent care from the nurses, doctors, and caregivers at the hospital, we feel like Jarred provided exceptional care. He was so compassionate during our dad’s battle with a very serious infection. He was always very informative and honest with us and our family members. One thing that stuck out was before he left his shift and was off for the weekend, he saluted our dad and told him to fight. There were times during this illness when our dad was in so much pain he didn’t want to live. Jarred showed compassion and respect for the duration of his care and we appreciate that beyond measure. Our dad was discharged after a month at the VA. He spent one week in rehab and has been living at home independently since. We are very thankful for the care he received from Jarred and the VA overall.
