Jared is a phenomenal nurse & went above & beyond for his patient (although this is not unusual for him to go above & beyond). His patient was getting switched over to a new brand of home vent that many of our staff were not familiar with, including the RNs & RTs. The patient’s parents also had plenty of questions about the ventilator specifics & settings as well. Jared found the time in his very busy day to print the manual for the ventilator off the manufacturer's website, hole-punched it, and bound it with zip ties. He then meticulously went through the manual, highlighted pertinent information for the family and staff, as well as separated the sections with sticky notes. I was so impressed by his attention to detail – this was not a necessary task, but he truly wanted to make sure that the family & staff taking care of this patient were all on the same page. By doing this, he ensured staff & parents were providing the best care possible for this patient. I am so incredibly proud to work alongside him.
