Jarlin Lopez, RN
Jarlin Lopez was my day nurse yesterday and today. My other nurses have been wonderful as well, but Jarlin has a way of making me happy, and I feel fortunate to have been her patient.
She is professional yet approachable, has a positive attitude, and is very knowledgeable. She shows genuine sympathy when she knows a patient is not feeling their best. Yesterday, she had to help me with some very personal and messy care. It was humiliating for me, but she stepped right in and handled it with kindness and professionalism, never making me feel embarrassed.
We also discovered that we share some personal interests. Even though I am 84, she listened with genuine interest and was even planning to follow up on a few of my suggestions. It is not often that I have that kind of instant rapport with someone. Jarlin treats her patients with respect and shows a sincere interest in them as individuals.
Jarlin is a wonderful nurse. She has certainly earned my kudos!
My experience at St. Joseph has been very good overall, and I am grateful that this was the right place for me to receive my care.
