I was admitted to the hospital because of left-sided weakness. I was very tense. Due to the limitations of visiting hours, my family member could not visit me. I was getting very anxious because I have never been admitted before. This was my first time in the hospital. Jaskirat was my nurse. She saw that I was anxious. She came up to me. She held my hand and made me feel comfortable. She asked me about my concerns, and I shared my feelings with her, and she listened to everything patiently. I felt much better after that, and she would check on me often and ask if I needed anything. Sometimes you just need someone to listen to you and I am very thankful that she was my nurse.
