Jasmine sets the standard for what a psychiatric nurse should be. She is steady in her determination to keep our unit, patients, and staff members safe. Whether that is sitting down one on one with a patient in need, jumping in to help a coworker, or enforcing unit rules to maintain safety, you can count on her. And while this isn’t always well received by patients in an acute psychiatric crisis, she is always making the patient’s safety her number one priority. I have seen Jasmine interact with many patients and she provides the same compassionate care no matter the circumstances. Psychiatric nursing is very demanding both mentally and physically, but Jasmine stays calm and fair even on the most stressful days. I never have to worry about our patients being taken care of when she is working. She has a true heart for psychiatric patients, treating them with dignity and looking beyond their diagnosis. Jasmine is dedicated to bettering herself as a nurse and she strives for excellence. She is an exceptional nurse and a true asset to our team here at Saline and we are very lucky to have a nurse like her.
