May 2026 Honoree
Jasmine Dean, LPN
Jasmine is truly one of a kind. From the very beginning, she treated me with compassion, kindness, and respect. She went above and beyond to care for me and took the time to help with my matted hair. That meant more to me than words can express.
No matter how many times I asked for help, she never showed frustration or impatience. Instead, she reassured me with a calm and comforting, “I’ve got you,” and she truly meant it - every time! She consistently followed through with care, attentiveness, and a heart that made me feel safe and valued.
What stood out most was the connection she built with me. She took the time to pray with me at the end of each shift. That brought me a sense of peace and comfort that I will never forget. Jasmine doesn’t just do her job; she embodies what it truly means to care for others.
There truly should be more nurses like her. Nurses who lead with compassion, serve with humility, and make such a lasting impact on the lives of their patients.

Jasmine is the most compassionate nurse I have met here at Southeast Health. She has a way with her patients and their families that makes even those having the worst days feel. A particular time was on a day in my first week here.
There was an unfortunate case of a lady who had a stroke, and she had her best friend with her who was also a patient here. Her friend in the NCCU, unfortunately, was going to pass away soon. Jasmine made sure that her best friend (on my floor) got to see her again and spend one last time with her.
Jasmine was so comforting for her and reminded her of how she wasn't alone and that she could take all the time she needed. It was a touching moment for me to witness - her having such compassion for someone she didn't know. She is amazing and treats all her patients with this love.

Jasmine is one of the best nurses I've ever had the pleasure of working with. She does everything in her power to make every patient feel as if they are the only person in the hospital. She takes care of them like they are a member of her own family.
