It is extremely nice to have a friendly face, that you feel comfortable with, making you feel like you matter enough to visit.
I don’t remember much of my first few hours here because of my hydrocephalus diagnosis. I was in so much pain and Jason was so nice and reassuring; even though I was not in the best mood. Of course, after some of the extreme pressure was relieved, I felt and acted like my old self. Jason spent the rest of his shift making sure I was comfortable, that my anxiety stayed low, and answered my questions as they arose. He was off a few days and dropped by to say, “Hi!” when he returned. Since my husband is active-duty Army, he is working and moving our house while I am in the hospital. It is extremely nice to have a friendly face, that you feel comfortable with, making you feel like you matter enough to visit, even if they work within the facility. He is going to be one of those nurses who affects many lives – not only for his skills but for his demeanor with others. Thank you for being there for me, Jason!
