When we arrived at the ER Nurse Jason escorted us to an available room. I was having severe abdominal pain. He comforted me and said they would figure it out soon enough. He took my vitals and then advised me he was going to draw blood. I never felt the needle – AMAZING!! He asked me about my symptoms and said it sounded like a kidney stone, diverticulitis, or a UTI. Told me I would be getting a CAT scan and what to expect. I felt like I was where I needed to be. The doctor came in and advised it was a kidney stone and prescribed pain pills, nausea meds, and something to push the stone along. After the doctor left, Jason came in and told me exactly what to expect with a kidney stone. He actually drew pictures – totally put me at ease. Before we left, the last thing he said was, if your fever gets over 100.4 come back. Well, I ran 101.6 and we came back the next day. We got Jason again!! Same experience, poked me twice and never felt a thing – very knowledgeable and personable. Never had such a fantastic ER experience. He’s a keeper.
