September 2021 Honoree
Jason Lockwood, RN
Jason has been with St. Joseph Mercy Hospital since August 2009. Jason has been actively engaged in improving the quality of care for ED patients by leading our Restraint audits. He has been instrumental in maintaining quality audits while providing feedback/education in a way staff understand. While Jason is pretty quiet on the floor, he has a passion for country music and getting outdoors to explore with his family. Jason is new to the preop/pacu environment but in his short time here he has proven to be a calm, steady presence. His emergency department background has proven to be a perfect skill set to be a preop/pacu nurse. He has a very calming, quiet presence that works well with our patient population. He is a quiet observer and picks up on subtle cues from patients. He also has great assessment skills and intervenes quickly to get patients comfortable.
Thank you, Jason, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
