Jason was nominated for the Daisy award by a patient whom he provided care. The patient stated "Jason took time to talk to me and shared some normal life in view of the crazy situation that led me here with very serious chest pains. He is attentive, detailed, empathetic and professional. ..Did I mention dedicated? When I go back to school should I choose the medical field, it would be because of Jason and the other amazing staff you have here."
Although this nomination letter is short, it speaks of the attributes that Jason consistently brings to his work. He is an extraordinary nurse providing extraordinary care. His care inspired this patient to consider nursing or the medical field as their own life work.
Jason receives many SHARE cards & complimentary comments from patients and/or families affirming his excellence in care, his willingness to help, caring spirit; steps of going above and beyond to make the patient comfortable and working to please. Share Cards that state "This man is awesome. Words cannot express how much I appreciate him for his acts of kindness and professionalism. I feel privileged to have had him as my nurse." Or observations "I loved the way he did his job, very professional, explains everything and always asked if I needed anything or how I felt".
Jason never seems rushed and remains calm with his patients no matter how busy he is. He also is this way with his team mates. He is always willing to provide a hand, start an IV or lab draw, and share his knowledge, mentor new staff or precept new employees.
