Jason was one of my nurses on the day of my lumbar puncture, one of my worst fears. My anxiety was so high that I couldn't voice my concerns, so I wrote them down. As Jason read them, he put a hand on my shoulder. He looked me in the eyes with so much empathy and concern when he said he would take care of me and that I would get through it. I have never met someone as kind and genuine. While I was still terrified, Jason helped me be brave. When the procedure was done, he not only concerned himself with my health but my mental state as well. He went as far as looking for me the following day to make sure I was okay. My fear was so real, and so was his concern and compassion. I couldn't have done it without him.
