His strength is in his humility.
Jason is a compassionate, kind, and caring leader. He leads with empathy and heart. He is committed to doing what is right for the patient and demonstrates this daily. At any time, you can find Jason in a room answering patient questions, sitting with a patient when we have safety issues, or a staff member needs a break.
He always goes above and beyond to support patient comfort, whether it’s getting an inpatient bed for an ER border or needed supplies and medical equipment. At one time, the chaplain wasn’t available, so he went and prayed with the patient. He is always working quietly in the background, avoiding recognition. His strength is in his humility.
Jason has left his home and come to Mansfield on several occasions to get supplies needed for patient care in Shelby when no one else was available. In doing this, the patient received excellent and timely care. He is known to drop things off to Shelby, too, after his shift or run over to place a PICC. Jason is the glue of our team. He is our Excel guru and keeps all our data organized and documents up to date. He remains calm in stressful situations and leads with dignity and integrity. He has built a lifetime of trust with patients and associates.

Jason is a nurse administrator who embodies OhioHealth's core values. He leads by example, offering to help wherever needed. Jason has a wealth of knowledge and experience; he often supports Shelby's needs while working at Mansfield. Often, his help is behind the scenes with high integrity and compassion for all associates and patients.
For example, Jason spent hours helping us find the correct PEG tube supplies needed for a patient. He even drove those supplies to Shelby after his shift at Mansfield so the patient had what they needed. Jason has delivered dressing supplies and medications to Shelby many other times as well. All of Jason's actions are putting the patient at the center of what we do, even cross-training the PICC team and Shelby's supervision.
Jason helps to keep nursing supervisors at Mansfield and Shelby in the know and up to date on changes and new information. Jason leads by his faith, and it is evident in all that he does for patients and coworkers, consistently going above and beyond. Jason has a humble, servant's heart, and OhioHealth is blessed to have an associate with such stewardship.
