May 2018 Honoree
jason pinchok, RN
Jason was the first person who listened to our concern about our son's back after months and months of hearing "not a concern" from numerous doctors. The one x-ray he went back and asked for (while he was writing discharge papers in the ER) was the one x-ray that found our son's tumor. If our son had been diagnosed any later, his protocol for treatment would have been 18-months, not 6-months. We caught the cancer before it had spread into bone marrow, however, it had just begun to spread into his bone and lymph system. We are forever thankful to this nurse for following his instinct to ask for one more x-ray. He followed up with A in the weeks following his diagnosis and our families met for ice cream so we could say thanks. He was also there for A's ER visits following his journey. We are forever thankful for his work and caring heart!
Thank you, Jason, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
